HORLEY, John Allan Horley

The World became a little less bright on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 with the passing of John Allan Horley. Born on September 26, 1933 in Clear Creek.
John’s unending humour and kindness brought joy to all who knew him. He spent most of his life working as a mechanic at his garage in Clear Creek, He enjoyed his downtime of fishing, dancing, playing his fiddle and time spent with family and friends. John had a close and personal relationship with God that never wavered.
He is survived by his wife Betty of 15 years.
His three daughters; Nancy (Gary) Winkworth of Langton, Dena (David) Taal of Mexico, and Jannette Van Deelen of Tillsonburg.
Grandchildren; Elizabeth (Mike) Holland, Alex Winkworth (Tessa), Eric Townsend (Stacey), Daniel Price (Grace), Shannon (James) O’Connell, David (Kayla) Price and several great grandchildren.
His brother Wes Horley, brothers-in-law Dan (Marilyn) Moore, Terry (Irene) Moore and sister-in-law Ruth (Paul) Howe and several nieces and nephews.
Also survived by his extended family; daughters Debbie (Mark) Hughes, Ruth Ann (Steve) Woods, sons Tim (Kelly) Duesling and Paul (Dee) Duesling and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his first wife of 50 years; Peggy Moore (2006), his parents George Horley (1975) and Louise Berger (1989), his father and mother-in-law Fred Moore (1997) and Lena Louks (2008), his son-in-law Bob Van Deelen (2020).
Relatives and friends will be received in the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home 36 Front Rd. Port Rowan on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Clark Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 2:30pm. Interment to follow in Clear Creek Cemetery.
