HORROCKS, Marianne Michelle Huntley Horrocks
February 23, 1967 - September 2, 2025
With deep love and quiet sorrow, we share that Michelle Huntley passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025.
Michelle was a gentle presence in this world — family-forward, endlessly kind, and true to herself in every step she took. She had a way of making others feel seen, heard, and valued, and she lived her life with compassion, strength, and grace.
Michelle leaves behind her beloved husband of 30 years, Paul, with whom she built a life filled with love and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her two children, daughter Danielle and son Evan. Her boundless love embraced not only her children but also those closest to their hearts. She shared a special bond with Evan’s fiancée, Kate, whom she welcomed with warmth and deep affection as part of the family. Her spirit lives on in them, and in all whose lives she so lovingly touched.
She is survived by her parents, Wayne and Anne Horrocks, and by her sister Nicole Murphy (spouse Gord Murphy) and their children Tyler, Connor, and Lexi. She was predeceased by her brother Mike, and is lovingly remembered by his wife Sue and their daughter Sam.
Michelle held a special place in the hearts of the Huntley family and was lovingly embraced by Paul’s parents, Bill and Mary Jane, from the moment they met. Michelle forged a rare, loving, and treasured bond with Paul’s seven brothers and sisters and their spouses, children and grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Sunday, September 7th, 2025, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, for those who wish to connect and remember Michelle. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held on Monday, September 8th, 2025, at 11:30 am at St. Columban’s Catholic Church. 36 Fourth Street West, Cornwall, Ont. With a reception to follow.
A quiet burial will take place in Kingston at a later date, in accordance with her wishes. Those who knew Michelle are invited to carry her memory forward — in moments of kindness, in time spent with family, and in the simple joys of everyday life.
