HOSOWICH , Jenny Rose Hosowich (née Bolyantu)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jenny Hosowich on July 22, 2025. After a short, but intense fight with pain she left to be reunited with her beloved husband John and her parents Peggy and John. She was a loving mother to John and Joshua Guthrie, a happy grandmother to Owen and Mileena (and others she never met). A much-loved sister-in-law to Stephanie Hosowich. She will be sadly missed by her family and best friends, LeeAnne & Ian, Sue & Brian.

With thick salt and pepper hair and brown eyes that glow, she was the most photogenic in family photos. She loved her husband and her boys with a smile and a grin. And truly enjoyed poking fun and teasing them. She had hidden talents as an excellent painter & as a skilled quilt maker. She loved ice cream & subs, schnitzel & Swiss chalet. Jenny liked car rides to Leamington or the cottage not far away. She liked spooking people just for fun, because you “have to have fun to stay young!” Lots of visits from dog Cootz and cat Missy, Aunt Jenny loved the fur babies without the messy. She loved her neighborhood quiet and green. And her besties LeeAnne & Ian. We will miss her good morning texts, Timmie’s coffee and cigarettes. We all had big fears, big tears, big hugs & some laughter. She believed in angels, ghosts and signs from the hereafter. Butterflies and dragonflies visited her frequently, giving her hope that angels watched faithfully. And when it was over, a singing red cardinal was seen, it’s a peaceful blessed sign from above “You know what I mean!”

Special thanks to the staff of the Cancer Center and Hospice for your care and compassion. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family farewell will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Windsor.
