It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Helen Leslie Houselander, fondly known as “Sue-Bee,” at Joseph Brant Hospital on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 65.

Sue-Bee was the beloved wife and partner of Neil Sookbirsingh. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and quiet joy. She will be missed dearly by her cherished cat Sammy and the many neighborhood animals she nurtured and fed with great compassion.

Known for her gentle spirit and kind heart, Sue-Bee shared close bonds with a vibrant circle of friends including Wendy L., Irene D., Christine F., Susan K., and Dianne H. Her absence will be felt profoundly by all who knew and loved her.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held.
