HUGHES, Janice Margaret Hughes

A wonderful loving mother, daughter, aunt, sister, Grandma and Great Grandma passed away with family at her side peacefully at Orchard Villa Long Term Care Home in Pickering. Janice in her 91st year lived a long and memorable life. She was a strong and resilient woman who was loved by her husband Pete who passed away in 2011. She will be remembered by her son Peter and daughter Valerie Elam (Joe) and daughter-in-law Zelda. Also fondly remembered by sister Judy, Cousin Elinor and grandchildren Peter (Alison) and Parker, Brandy and Joseph, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews from the Hughes and Ward families. She is predeceased by sister Dawn and twin brother Gerald and parents Stan and Margaret Ward. There will be a service for family and friends at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E in Oshawa (433)-5558 at 1 p.m. on Saturday January 31, 2026.
