HUISMAN, Casey/Cees Huisman

On May 21, 2025, Casey/Cees Huisman (Cornelis Huisman if you must) crossed over from a crazy world into a peace that passes understanding. Born in 1951 in Bleiswijk, The Netherlands, he lived just outside Ridgetown for 35 years with his loving wife Jan Huisman (2020). Married for 41 years but who’s counting.

Son of the late Jacob and Beatrix (née Van Dyk) Huisman. Casey/Cees was also the proud father of 7 children: Sharon (Allan), Karen (2003), Judy (2016) (Martin), Nancy (2018), Doug (Penny), Christine (Robert) and Steve (Casey). Also predeceased by sons-in-law Larry and Roger and Jerry and Lady the dog.

He also loved his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Loving brother to Ed (Nell), Peter (Ria), Jaco, Dita (Jan), Trudie (Helmic), Arienne (Bertus). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends, both in Canada and Holland.

The family would like to thank Dr. Prins and his staff for taking care of dad. They would also like to thank the lovely staff at Village on the Ridge for the wonderful care and compassion they provided. Lastly, the family would like to thank the staff at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Wednesday June 11, 2025 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00pm. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.

Donations made in memory of Casey/Cees to the Parkinson Canada Inc. would be appreciated by the family.
