It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Beatrice Helen Hunt, daughter of the late Jack and Helen Hunt. Janice departed peacefully at the age of 85 on June 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s, cancer, and Parkinson’s. She is now at peace.

Janice found her deepest joy and tranquility at the family cottage, especially when she was out on the water. She loved nothing more than sitting on the dock with a good book and a cocktail, surrounded by the laughter of family and friends. These cherished moments created a lifetime of treasured memories. She also had a love for animals, especially her beloved cat, Bootsy.

Janice was predeceased by her husband, Godfrey Russell. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Curtis Wolowich (Lori), Stephen Wolowich, and Kerry Brockie (Darryl). She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Lisa Wolowich, and her cherished grandchildren: Kayla, Makenna, Carly, Jesse, and Jamie. Janice will also be dearly missed by her many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved her so much.

A celebration of Janice’s life will be held later in the summer. Details will be shared with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janice’s name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
