INGRAM, Cathy Ingram

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our family’s matriarch, Catherine Madeline Ingram, 73 of Stratford, Ontario.

All of Cathy’s life, she was the first one to step in and help, especially children. She was a Guide Leader / Commissioner, a Sunday School teacher, she started a community group called Citizens Concerned with Crimes Against Children, and she worked at the Children’s Aid Society for over 30 years as a Social Worker and Family Protection Support Worker. If someone needed advice, support or just a hug, Cathy was there with open arms.

She will be deeply missed by her one and only love of 55 years, Rodger, and her children, Kim Rogers, Sherrie Hall, Rob Ingram (Sherri) and Lorrie Lugsdin (Nick). She will forever be the world’s best Grandma and Meema to Abbey (Justin), Kate (Daxtin), Dylan (Sarah), Joshua (Gracie), Sawyer, Julia, Genna (Skylar), Allida and Amyah.

Cathy is also survived by her sister Louanne Willemsen (Pete) and her brother Rick Jonas (Anne). She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends.

We find peace in knowing she was welcomed by her parents, Garnet Edmund and Lucy Anne Jonas, her in-laws Eldon Woodrow and Irene Elva Ingram, her brother Garnet Edmund Jonas Jr, her sister-in-law Sharon Faye Ingram, and her son-in-law Rick Rogers.

A huge thank you to Dianne and Jim Doone, Suzanne and David Ethier and Danielle Ingram for all their love and support before and during Cathy’s stay at Hospice.

The family would like to thank Dr. Langford and the London Health Science Center staff, Care Partners nurses, and all the staff at the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth for their compassion, support, and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth and Chemotherapy Department at Stratford General Hospital.

Visitation will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, May 7, from 2–4 pm and 6–8 pm. The Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, May 8 at 11 am. Lunch will follow at the funeral home, and interment will follow lunch at the Stratford Avondale Cemetery.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at W.G. Young Funeral Home.
