BLACOE, Irene Emily (nee JONES)  –  Peacefully, at Scarborough General Hospital, with family at her side, on August 11, 2023, at the age of 94.

Beloved wife of over 61 years to the late Bill.

Loving mother of Janice (Bob) Wheeler, Karen (Jack) Dickie, Brenda (Sean) McNama, Wendy Blacoe, Ken (Rita) Blacoe, Bonny (Rob) Langille, Robin (Peter) Blesse, and Jeff (Pauline) Blacoe.

Cherished “Nain” to her 19 grandchildren; and “Super Nain” to 16 incredible great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her sister, Hilda White; and brother, Leonard Jones;, she will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, both in Ontario and Saskatchewan.

Visitation will be held at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough, on Thursday, August 17th, from 5–8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Ogden Chapel, on Friday, August 18th, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Irene, can be made to the Salvation Army. Most importantly, Irene’s success in life is best measured by the many people she leaves behind who love her .
