ISAAC, Troy Isaac

With heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of Troy at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the age of 63. Dear son of Darlene Nichols and Barry Isaac. He leaves behind his best fur friend, Buddy, who was his constant companions for the last four years.

Troy was a deeply private man, known for his unwavering focus and entrepreneurial spirit. Always exploring new ideas and ventures, he had a remarkable ability to identify opportunities and pursue them with quiet determination. He found his greatest joy in making music, but his passion for discovery extended far beyond that. Whether traveling for his Maverick Fish Hunter business or simply for the thrill of adventure, Troy found deep satisfaction in exploring the world and living on his own terms.

A lover of the outdoors, Troy drew energy and clarity from nature, often using that space to reflect and recharge. When he set a goal, there was no stopping him—he would put his head down, map out a plan, and methodically make it happen. His drive and resourcefulness saw him succeed time and time again.

Troy was well-traveled, having explored much of Europe, the U.S., Canada, and South America. But more than ticking places off a list, he sought connection, experience, and freedom. He never conformed to the traditional 9-to-5 mold; instead, he carved out a life that reflected his values—independence, creativity, and purpose. Through his ventures, he filled niches others overlooked and built a life of freedom and fulfillment.

At Troy’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
