WHITELEY, Jacqueline “Jac”  –

May 12, 1970 – April 29, 2023

With heavy hearts we share the sudden passing of Jacqui, beloved daughter of Janet (née Lawrie) and Vic Whiteley (deceased eight months).

She will be lovingly remembered by sisters, Jennifer (Mike) and Joanne George (Darrin); nephew, Shepherd; aunts and uncles, Don Lawrie (the late Pat), Marg and Ed Bell, Chris and Rob Trought, and Karen Hicks; cousins, Deanna, Sandra, Pete, Sara, Alex and Craig; and extended family, John and Eloise.

Predeceased by her doting grandparents, Hi and Peggy Lawrie of Markham. She demonstrated compassion and empathy for others at all times.

Jacqui was grateful for special assistance from January, Jen and June. Her little dog, Lily, who kept her comforted for thirteen years, will be welcomed by “cousins,” Sunny, Pippi and Buck at Sunny Acres in Haliburton.

The family will receive visitors at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main St. North, Markham, on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., with service to follow at 2:00 p.m.

Jacqui would be proud of any donations in her memory to the Sickkids Foundation, which was still very dear to her heart. Good drugs kill pain. Some drugs kill our vulnerable loved ones.

Beware, be smart, be safe. Rest in peace, my dear.
