He worked for the Toronto Catholic District School Board, later retiring to take on his new job: driving his grandchildren to and from school, and picking them up for lunch most days. Jim was most proud of his twelve grandchildren and their accomplishments.
He leaves behind a profound legacy of love, memories, and a commitment to his faith that will forever be engraved in the hearts of his family and those who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Dorothy Ley Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion during his final days.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church, 277 Royal York Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim to the Dorothy Ley Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family. To make a donation, visit dlhospice.org.
