Tackley JanetTACKLEY, Janet Mary  – (August 2, 1938 – December 25, 2015)

In loving memory of Janet Mary Tackley (nee Jennings) in her 78th year due to complications after a fall.

Marrying Stan in 1963 saw Janet’s life filled with love, humour and lots of good times.

Janet will be greatly missed by her 3 daughters: Jacquie Kelm (Kevin St. Onge), Cheryl Windolf (Peter Windolf) and Colleen Holstein (Rich Holstein) and will now will be with her beloved husband, Stanley John Tackley (1936-2004) in heaven.

Born in Toronto, Janet’s childhood was filled with antics and music mostly performed by her younger siblings: John Jennings (Toronto), Dorothy Cook (Claremont), Jim Jennings (Emsdale) and June Jennings (Ajax).

Janet and Stan proudly raised their 3 girls and moved to Oshawa in 1979 where they were foster parents for more than 25 years.

Retirement years were enjoyed at Pigeon Lake Campers’ Resort, near Buckhorn, where they spent many hours with their grandchildren: Kati, Jen, Alysha, Jacob, Monica, Austin, Noah and Nate.

Janet and Stan lived briefly in Port Hope before Stan’s passing; Janet then moved to Little Britain and lived with Jacquie and family, stayed briefly in West Shore (Port Perry) and ultimately resided in Faith Place, Oshawa.

Janet will also be missed by her 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of a service or celebration, Janet would like everyone to raise a glass in memory of her good life; donations will be thoughtfully received by the Lung Association of Ontario.
