JANSSENS, Mark John Janssens

Suddenly on July 10, 2025, at the age of 70, Mark “Sparky” Janssens passed away at Strathroy Middle General Hospital. He is survived by his siblings Marion Boyd of Meaford, Joyce Arthur of Vancouver, Jim (Jackie) Janssens of Inwood, Bob (Janine) Janssens of Watford, and Alan (Annette) Janssens of London.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Alie Janssens and brother-in-law Freeman Boyd. Born in Petrolia, Mark grew up in the Inwood and Watford area and spent his entire life behind the wheel hauling freight all over Ontario and the USA. He made many friends along the roads of his career and will be missed by many. He had a love of cars and always had lots of stories to share of his travels.

Mark had a great interest in his family and their children, keeping in touch with his many nieces and nephews as well as cousins, aunts, uncles, and of course his siblings. And last but not least, he loved his cats and dogs.

Friends are invited to join Mark’s family in celebrating his life on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, at Denning’s of Watford. A Masonic Memorial Service will take place at 1 pm followed by a casual meet and greet. Interment of cremated remains will then take place at Arkona Cemetery at 3:30 pm.
