GOULET, Jean-Paul Goulet Obituary

GOULET, Jean-Paul – (1931 – 2015) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father and husband on October 1, 2015 at the age of 84.

He was a well- known businessman in the city of Gatineau (Hull) and a former professional baseball player, notably with the Ottawa Nationals of the Border League. In 1996 he was inducted as an athlete to the City of Hull Hall of Fame.

Loving husband of Jeannine Décarie and eldest son of the late Emile Goulet and the late Emma Faubert of Hull. Cherished father of Paul (Janet), Denis (Martine), Diane (Paul), Alain (Lyne), Stéphane (Maria), grandfather to Eric (Susan) and Catherine; great-grandfather to Jacob.

Survived by sisters Jannine (Robert Binnerts), Françoise (late Victor Beauchamp), Annette (Denis Normand); brothers-in-law Lucien Décarie (Juliette) and Gerry Desjardins (Noëlla).

Predeceased by brother Roger (Lorette Lacasse), and sisters Pauline (Lorenzo Sirois) and Hélène (late Albert Renaud) as well as brother-in-law Marcel Décarie and sister-in-law Louise Desjardins. He also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; especially, childhood friend Marcel Meunier.

The family wishes to thank staff at the Hull and Gatineau hospitals for their good care and support.

Funeral arrangements by Serge Legault Funeral Home Inc., 103 des Allumettières Blvd., Gatineau, Quebec.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at 11 a.m. at Notre- Dame-de-la Guadeloupe Church, 30 St. Onge Street, Gatineau (Hull), Quebec. Family and friends are invited to attend. The family will receive your condolences after the funeral service.
