JEANNETTE, Susan Sue Jeannette

Peacefully, surrounded by family, at 71 years of age. Mother to Marie (Andrew) and Lauren (Eric), and Nana of Paxton James. Wife of over 34 years to the late Jim. Dearly remembered by sisters Sally (the late Terry), Lois (Bob) and Lisa (Bob) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Frederick and Mary Belle.

Sue enjoyed many years of studying and teaching the Japanese martial art, Aikido, and obtained her 5th Degree black belt, the first woman in Canada to do so. She enjoyed gardening, nature walks and chats with friends and family. Special thanks to the 5th floor CCU team at University Hospital – London Health Sciences Centre for their outstanding care and compassion including Anu, Christine, Hermi, Abdallah and Vicky, as well as Maja from CCOT.

If you so desire, memorial donations to one of Sue’s favourite charities, the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women and Families, would be appreciated by the family.

Cremation to take place. Memorial visitation will take place on Friday September 19, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A memorial service celebrating Susan’s life will be held on Saturday September 20, 2025 at 11 am at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave, South Windsor 519-969-5841.
