JENNER, John Jenner

Passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home at the age of 94.

John was the son of the late Lorne & Beatrice (nee Legary) Jenner.

Predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Helen (2021). Dearly missed father of Wanda Kristensen (Peter), Ken Jenner (Debbie Poehlman), Dawna Urquhart (Mike Palenchar), Dennis Jenner (Jane), and Floyd Jenner (Connie).

Proud grandfather of Ryan, Heather, Kimberley, Sondra, Beckie, Rachael, Nathan, Brandon, Ian and 16 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by grandson, David.

Predeceased by his siblings.

John’s quiet determination was demonstrated through his work on the family farm where he and Helen raised their family. Holidays were often spent with extended family sharing homecooked meals around their dining table. Always ensuring he reminded Helen not to forget the dessert for every meal. Summer getaways were enjoyed with family on camping trips up North. Winters during “retirement” were spent in Florida, where we enjoyed golfing and taking part in social activities with their friends. In his younger years, he looked forward to hunting trips and fishing on the local lakes. He also served his community with pride as Reeve for Harwich Township.

Following Helen’s health challenges, John remained steadfast by her side, gently stepping into the role of caregiver with quiet strength and devotion. We take comfort in knowing that Helen was surely waiting to welcome him home once again.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Blenheim Community Nursing Home by Revera and Riverview Gardens Nursing Home for their care and compassion during John’s time with them.

Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim from 11:00 am until a Celebration of John’s Life at 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 12th, 2026 with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.
