COLES, Jessie Vera ‘Bunny’ – Bunny was born in Thorold, Ontario on October 2, 1925 and passed on December 25, 2015 at the Henley House in St. Catharines after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Bunny was predeceased by her husband John (Bud) Coles in 2005, by her brothers Sebert Smith & Ruth of Hanover, Ontario, and Ernest & Alice Smith of St. Catharines, by her sister Winifred Despins & Roger of Pelham, and by her sisters and brothers in-law Mary & Doug Laister, Marge and Cliff Skeoch, Patricia Feere, and Rheal Benard.

She is survived by her son Keith (Tracey), daughter Lorraine Aitken (Lynn), grandchildren Jessica (Larry), Sarah (Adis), Colleen (Jerry), John (Lisa), and Michael (Sara), and by her great-grandchildren Thomas, Jacob, Melanie, Scarlett, Katie, and Kelia, as well as her sister-in-law Beverly Benard, brothers-in-law Robert (Maureen) Coles and Frank Feere, and many nieces and nephews.

Bunny worked in her younger life at Lightning Fastner and later, greatly enjoyed a number of years at the Walker’s Store in the Pen Centre.

Many thanks to the Doctors and Staff at the Henley House for their care and support over the last several years.

The family will receive friends at the Hulse & English funeral home, 75 Church St., St. Catharines on Monday, December 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, December 29th at 11 am in the chapel. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
