SPENCE, Joanne (nee Brunskill) – Passed away suddenly at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the age of 72.

Loving wife to Robert Spence for 48 years. Devoted mother to Jennifer Spence (Brian Smuk), Jeff Spence (Stacey), and Julie (nee Spence) McCullagh (Roger).

Dear grandmother to Jessica, Zachary, Connor, Payton, Allie, Brodie, Madison, Braden, and Kyle. Fondly remembered by her siblings Jane Farr and Barb Wadden (Brian), brother-in-law William Spence (Valerie), and their families.

Joanne was a registered nurse at the Hamilton General Hospital for 45 years, was an avid skier and curler, and was very dedicated to her family. She will be forever missed by her family, extended family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Smith’s funeral home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), Burlington, Ontario on Saturday, October 17th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with a family tribute to begin at 5:00pm. As per Joanne’s wishes private cremation has taken place.
