CLAYTON, John Alfred   – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 16, 2023.

John, at the age of 92, was beloved husband of the late Thelma (née Plumridge).

Loving dad to Randy (Sue), the late Greg (Karen), Diane Zandbergen (Harry) and Kim Jordan (Dave).

Cherished grandpa to Amanda (Steve), Blake (Kelsey), Penny, Lucas (Christine), Logan (Adam), Charmaine (Paul) and Derrick (Monique); and great-grandpa to Clarke, Bennett, Harper, Landyn, Camryn, Jaylyn, Lauren and Charlee Rose.

John was predeceased by his parents, Gleneita and Hartford Clayton; brothers, Alex (Kay) and Bruce; and sisters, Lois and Bernice (Ted).

Survived by his brothers, Glen (Betty) and Dave (Sandy) Clayton. He will be remembered by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

We will be honouring and celebrating this great man’s life at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay, on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 11:00 a.m., until time of funeral service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Margaret’s-in-the Pine’s at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in John’s name may be made to SickKids Foundation, which would be appreciated by the family.
