HERCUS, John Macpherson   –  With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of John Hercus, who peacefully left us at Dorothy Ley Hospice on July 16, 2023.

Born to Diane and Barry Hercus, John was a loving son, brother, and devoted father.

John leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a profound impact on the lives of those who knew him.

He was a compassionate and caring soul, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

His gentle spirit and warm smile brought comfort to those around him, and his presence will be deeply missed.

In the loving embrace of his family, John found solace and joy. He shared a special bond with his siblings, Mike and Alyson Hercus. As a devoted father, John took immense pride in his two sons, Andrew and Chris Hercus, and their accomplishments were a source of great happiness for him.

A memorial service to honour John’s life and celebrate the wonderful person he was will be held on July 27th at Glen Oaks Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. A reception will take place after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Sleeping Children Around the World, or Dorothy Ley Hospice. May we find comfort in the memories we shared with John, and support one another during this difficult time.
