KOVACS, John  –

November 23, 1957 – June 30, 2023

It is with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of John Steve Kovacs.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Eva; and his daughter, Mandy.

John was a wonderful, loving, and attentive father and husband, and was a long-suffering Leafs fan.

His goofy sense of humour will be missed immensely by everyone who knew him.

He built a successful career in IT and was beloved by colleagues.

John was passionate about travelling, backpacking across Europe on his own for months in his 20s and later, together with his wife across almost all continents.

We hope he has found peace in being reunited with his parents in Heaven.

Visitation on Wednesday, July 5th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Holy Cross Funeral Home (211 Langstaff Rd. E., Thornhill), and Funeral Mass on July 6th, at 12 noon.
