MASON, John Stephen – December 18, 1927 – December 22, 2015

John is survived by his wife Helen of 46 years, his children; Lynn Norris (Steve), Nicole Felix (Roy), Erica Mason (Geoff Chapman), John Mason (Jacqueline), and his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

He emigrated from Manchester, England in 1952, met Helen in 1967 and moved from Toronto to Caledon in 1969, where he raised his family at Hawthorne Farm.

Caledon remained home for the next 46 years where he contributed to the preservation and restoration of heritage properties. John and Helen were the 2015 recipients of the Heritage Caledon Award of Excellence.

An avid classic car enthusiast, he was an active member of the Rolls- Royce Owners’ Club, and the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club.

He had a social circle of many, but was most proud of his family.

He will be missed, but his legacy carries on through all who knew him. He and his family received incredible care and compassion at Bethell House Hospice in Inglewood, donations to them in his memory would be appreciated.
