NEWEDIUK, John Peter  –  Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Sunnybrook Hospital on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the age of 86.

John’s career began in 1960, which lead to him founding the Newediuk Funeral Homes.

He was also a founding member of St. Demetrius Church and a past Grand Knight of Sheptytsky Council 5079.

Dearly beloved husband for 62 years to Mary Ann.

Beloved father of Michael and his wife, Kim and John and his wife, Harriet.

Loving and proud Gigi of Harrison and his fiancé Katie, Matthew, Nicole, Hillary, Sydney, Henry and Amy. Dear brother of Dr. Michael Neweduk (predeceased) and his wife, Stella.

Dear brother-in-law of the late Percy and Joan Peters. Loving uncle of Peter and Lynn, Bill and Laurie, Steve and Karen, Janet and Terry and Joe.

Fondly remembered by Irene, and his extended family and many friends. He always made sure Otto and Auggie were never hungry.

John was fortunate to spend many winters in Siesta Key, Florida, and will be dearly missed by all of those friends.

Resting at the Newediuk Funeral Nome, Thursday, from 3-9 p.m. Panakhyda: Thursday 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, July 28, 2023, from St. Demetrius Church, 135 La Rose Avenue, at 10 a.m.

Private family interment, immediately following the funeral service, will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, and as expressions of sympathy, donations to Sunnybrook Foundation, Critical Care Unit or St. Demetrius Church, would be appreciated by the family.
