Carol Ann (Storey) Johnson passed away peacefully at Niagara General Hospital on November 26, 2024, just days before her 91st birthday. Born on December 3, 1933, and raised in Fort Erie, Ontario, Carol was the daughter of James and Margaret Storey, and stepdaughter of Eva Storey. A registered nurse, she dedicated her life to helping others, working in Detroit and Niagara Falls before returning to her hometown of Fort Erie.

Carol was the beloved wife of Donald Stirton Johnson, with whom she shared 69 beautiful years of marriage. Their love story began at Fort Erie Secondary School when Donald won the last dance of the evening, earning the chance to walk her home. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising two children, Marisa (John) Jefkins of Etobicoke and James (Catherine) Johnson of Drayton.

A devoted and selfless partner, Carol supported Donald through his engineering studies, working tirelessly and providing the stability needed for his success. Her practical and professional demeanor masked a warm, kindhearted nature that inspired all who knew her.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by her sister Joan of Buffalo, NY, her grandchildren Brent (Letitia) Jefkins, Amy (Luke) Walter, Craig Johnson, and Jeanette (Manuel) Boehm, and her great-grandchildren Juilyanna Marquette Jefkins, Callahan Walter, and Hanna Boehm.

Funeral services will be held at Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Road, Fort Erie, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. A light luncheon will follow. Cremation and a private burial at McAffee Cemetery will take place at a later date.
