It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Christopher Stephen Johnson on March 5th, 2026, in his 58th year at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Surrounded by the love and comfort of his beloved family. Chris will be deeply missed by his loving wife Debbi, and his daughters Kaitlyn and Emily. Cherished son of Douglas Johnson (Jean), and the late Dorthy Fallis (Robert). Chris will also be remembered by his siblings Paula, Brent, Luke, Drew, Heather and Don, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Chris was raised in Norwood, Ontario, where he spent most of his life. He was an accomplished welder and a truck driver, known by many as someone who was incredibly handy and always willing to lend a helping hand when something needed fixing. Chris enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing and hunting, spending time outdoors, and watching car races with his daughters. He was especially known for his soft spot for babies and animals, bringing warmth and kindness to those around him.
Chris will be remembered for his generous spirit, his sense of humour, and the love he had for his family and friends.
Arrangements entrusted to RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOME (80 Highland Ave. 613-968-5588). To honour Chris’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Chris’ Life will be held at a later date.
