JOHNSON, Edward Robert Johnson

Unexpectedly passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, at the age of 78.

Beloved husband of Linda for 60 wonderful years. Loving father of Mike Johnson (Alice) and Beth Johnson. Cherished grandfather of Miranda McShane (Leonard), Nathan Johnson (Lori), Kyle Johnson, and Matthew Johnson and great-grandfather of Hannah, Marcus, and Sawyer. Dear brother of Betty Holt (the late Ron) and Carolyn Wason (Peter). Ed will be deeply missed by his cousin Julie and her husband Cary Gatchell, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Ed was a devoted husband whose life was defined by unwavering dedication to his wife, whom he cared for with selflessness, patience, and profound loved. Family was the centre of Ed’s world. He found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved, always placing their needs before his own. One of his family’s best memories is that he had one of the best laughs they know.

Beyond his devotion at home, Ed retired from General Motors after many years of hard work. He found freedom and exhilaration on two wheels. A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, he loved riding and racing motorcycles, embracing both the thrill and the camaraderie of the motorcycle community.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
