It is with sadness beyond words that I announce the passing of Veronica (Ronni) Jones, who passed away peacefully at home on the morning of January 24, 2025, with her son, Jay, by her side.

My mom was the strongest person I had ever met, beating all odds to live to 89 despite having battled COVID-19 and successfully overcoming cancer last September. Unfortunately, dementia took its toll over the past eight years, and a mild case of pneumonia was just too much.

Ronni LOVED her gardens. Even during her illness, she found joy in fresh flowers, listening to music 24 hours a day, smiling, and hugging her stuffed animals. Through it all, she never once complained and remained at peace through the harsh reality of end-stage dementia.

Dad is in heaven waiting for you, ready to spend the next stage of your journey together. The two of you will have an amazing eternity.

Visitation: Friday, January 31, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village, Ajax). Parish Prayers will be offered at 8:00 PM.
