JOSE, Eduardo Soares PIMENTEL

He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 1, 2026, at the age of 74.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Teresa; his daughter Suzanne (Jason); his sister-in-law Rita McCreadie (Bill); and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Joe was born in the village of Ponta Garça on the island of São Miguel in the Azores. From the age of eight, he worked as a dairy farmer on his parents’ farm, learning the values of hard work, responsibility, and devotion to family values that would guide him throughout his life. After completing his service in the army, Joe met the love of his life, Teresa. In 1976, he followed her to Victoria, where they married in October of that same year and began a life built on love, faith, and commitment.

Joe was deeply devoted to his family and his faith. He found joy in gardening and was a passionate follower of European football the “real” football, as he liked to say. Every decision Joe made was intentional and centered on the well-being of his family. He lived by example, showing what it meant to lead with integrity, love, and quiet strength.

Joe will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a steady, guiding presence to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so dearly.

A Visitation and Catholic Prayers will be held in The Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, on Thursday, January 8^th, 2026, at 4:00pm.

A Funeral Mass will take will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Friday, January 9^th, 2026, at 10:00am followed by his entombment in the Mausoleum at Royal Oak Burial Park.
