GALLINGER, June Mae Russell Gallinger

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of June Mae Russell at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on October 26, 2025 at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Prieur. Loving mother of Carol White (David) and Karen Prieur Bentley (Rob). Cherished grandmother of David, Ian, Brittany and Douglas White, Liam and Naomi Bentley. Dear sister of Hazel McIntyre and Basil Gallinger. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends. Special mention to her niece, Gail Gallinger, for the support and companionship she gave June. She is predeceased by her parents James and Lillian Gallinger (née Dawson) and by her siblings Ethel Mae Gallinger, Harold Gallinger, Jean Willard, Allan Gallinger, and Alice MacDonald.

Her family would like to thank the First Responders serving Avonmore as well as the Ottawa Civic Hospital staff of the ER, NACU, and 2A departments for their compassionate and professional care.

Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Friday, November 14th, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A chapel service will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Visitation will then continue until 7 p.m.
