KANE , Daniel Patrick Kane

Passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday August 21, 2025 at the age of 91.

Predeceased by his wife Maureen. Much loved father of Mary Elizabeth (Greg), Richard (Gabriella) and Joseph (April). Cherished grandfather of Patrick and Max. Great grandfather of Bill. Brother to Greg (Doreen deceased), predeceased by Jack (Joan deceased). Will be fondly remembered by Gloria Prior.

Daniel proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years, subsequently transferring earned qualifications and skills to running a flying club and teaching at Kemptville college. For many years Dan enjoyed being an active contributor to the sport of Beagling in Canada as a competitor, writer and judge. Early years enjoying sports, especially baseball on Howe Island where he was raised, hockey and boxing as a serviceman, led Dan to his greatest sport passion of golf where he enjoyed many happy hours for many years with family and friends on the golf course.

There will be no services. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
