Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of the late Adolph and Ella Kappes.

Beloved husband of the late Joan Kappes (nee Nobile). Loved father of Chris Klos (Richard), late Pauline Dietz, Pam Vock, Sandy Helms, late Sherry Bach (Don) and Mark Kappes (Cindy).

Dear brother of Verner Kappes (late Marilyn), John Kappes (Carol), Carl Kappes, Carol Blair (late Ron) and Elvira Angelliti (Richard).

Proud grandfather of Jessie (Jen), Ian (Angela), Jennie (Brad), Jonathan, Kristy, late Nelson, Kyle (Laura), Jeremy (Mandy), Rebecca and Byron (Katie).

Also survived by great-grandchildren Jordan, Cole, Karly, Connor, Leyla, Karla, Megan, Cody, Brayden and Karissa.

Predeceased by his brothers Adolph (late Joanne), Stephen, Tim and Tom Kappes.

A family graveside service will be held in Avondale Cemetery.
