He, age 93, of Sarnia, passed away peacefully at Marshall Gowland Manor on March 11, 2026. Born October 13, 1932, Brad is survived by his devoted wife Isobel (“Issy”) and his children Michael (Joy), Dorothy, Mark (Wendy), Terri (late Gerry) Johnson, Brad Jr., Kevin (Cindy), and Julie (Terry) Dolbear, and brother Dwayne (Joanne). Brad enjoyed a long career at the Imperial Oil refinery in Sarnia, where he rose through the ranks and ultimately served as Fire Marshall for the site. Known for his steady leadership and commitment to safety, he earned the respect of colleagues throughout his career. Service to others was an important part of Brad’s life. He served on the board of Huron House, volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, participated in the CAS Foster Parent program, served as a Separate School Board trustee, loved singing in the Sacred Heart church choir, and coached softball with the SMAA. In each of these roles he was admired for his generosity, patience, and dedication to helping others. Brad was well liked and respected in all of his pursuits, but above all he was deeply devoted to his wife Issy, his family, and his Catholic faith. In January they celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary. In retirement, Brad enjoyed time in his workshop working with wood and gathering with family. He loved life, and was quite a dancer. He and Issy also shared many happy travels together, especially their memorable trips to Hawaii and Naples, Florida. Brad and the family thank the truly amazing staff at Marshall Gowland Manor for their loving care over the past year. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
