KOSOW, Kenneth James Kosow
August 10, 1953 - February 10, 2024
Passed away unexpectedly at his home in Guelph, Ontario.
Predeceased by his loving parents, Jean and Walter.
Also predeceased by his beloved longtime companion, Stephen McKay (2015).
Survived by his dear brother Philip (Barbara) and niece Andrea (Lionel).
Sadly missed by his cousins, colleagues, friends and neighbours.
Ken grew up in Toronto but moved to Guelph later in life.
He graduated from the University of Toronto with a double degree in Chemistry and Education.
He had a long teaching career with the Peel District School Board, where he was the head of the Science Department from 2001-2010.
Ken was an accomplished musician (violin, viola), composer and tutor. He was a member of the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra for over 25 years. He was also a longtime member of the Cambridge and Waterloo Symphony Orchestras.
Ken was an avid traveller and he enjoyed gardening. He had a passion for cooking which he shared through his many dinner parties. He had a great love of animals, especially dogs.
Ken is resting at Glendale Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke. Visitation will take place Monday, February 26, 2024, from 4-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 10 a.m.
