KING, John Roland King

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of my beloved brother, John Roland King, at the age of 84, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Sarnia, Ontario.
John was born on August 28, 1941, in Strathroy, Ontario, to Rosalie (2000) and Clayton (1964) King.

Survived & missed like crazy by his sister, Mary Ellen King. Predeceased by brother James Robert King (2012).
He was a lifelong resident of Watford, Ontario, where he began his devoted career after high school as a farmer and entrepreneur. John had a gift for making a deal—he truly loved the art of negotiation and was known far and wide as “a hell of a salesman.”
John’s love for animals was evident to all who knew him. He always had a biscuit ready for a special canine friend and held a deep affection for horses. His passion for riding and showing horses in his early years grew into a lifelong love of owning and racing them. Rodeos were another joy that stayed with him throughout his life.
John’s sense of humor and generosity were unmatched, and his adventurous spirit took him to many destinations around the globe. His presence in our lives was a true gift, and his memory will continue to guide and inspire us.
John will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but for the warmth he brought to every room. He had a way of making people feel valued and loved, and his laughter was contagious. To his family and friends, John was a source of strength, wisdom, and joy—a man who lived life fully and shared that fullness with everyone around him.
With a theme of Key West & Cowboys, visitation will take place at Denning’s of Watford, 232 Warwick Street, Watford, ON, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. and a luncheon reception. Interment after reception at St. James Cemetery, Watford.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 Christina St N., Sarnia N7G 5W3 would be greatly appreciated.
