BARKAS, Kleoniki “Nicky”  – 

January 14, 1945 – October 27, 2023

Nicky passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her immediate family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Anthony Barkas; her daughter, Vaia (Errett) and son-in-law, Jeff; her daughter, Lina (Lau) and son-in-law, Dave; and 3 beautiful granddaughters.

Nicky was a beacon of love and kindness to everyone who knew her.

Her warmth and devotion nourished her family.

Despite a long illness, we were lucky to have her with us at home under the loving care of her husband with wonderful palliative care support. She was a true angel in life.

Visitation at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m., November 2, 2023, and Funeral on November 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow.

Memorial donations can be made to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care.
