
Charles F. Klotzbach, 80, of Batavia passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 at the Gateway House in Attica. He was born on November 21, 1944 in Batavia to the late Frank and Martha (Woeller) Klotzbach. In addition to his parents, Charles is predeceased by his first wife Sharon (Juliana) Klotzbach; grandson Ryan DeSantis and great grandson Caleb Schmeelke.
He is survived by his wife Carol L. Smith-Klotzbach; children Tom Klotzbach of Waterport, Mike (Lisa DeSantis) Klotzbach of Batavia, Pat Klotzbach of East Aurora, Jay (Wendy) Klotzbach of Syracuse, Kathleen (Jon) Rivers of Basom, Kelly (Troy) Harlach of Corfu and Elizabeth (Mike) Cipolla of Clymer; siblings Donna (late David) Rhodes of Batavia, George (Janet) Klotzbach of Basom, Lois (Jack) Olsen of Basom, Ella Klotzbach of Batavia and Jerry (Debbie) Klotzbach of Basom; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Charles enjoyed his family, his church family and his many friends immensely. His life was dedicated to community service. He was a coach for baseball, football and softball. He served as president of the local youth athletic program and was a past president of the Pembroke School Board of Education. He also served as chairman of multiple committees for Indian Falls Methodist Church. Charles supported and attended all his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. Charles enjoyed being part of life and will be missed by many.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday August 1, 2025 from 4:00–7:00 PM at Indian Falls Methodist Church, 7908 Alleghany Rd., Corfu, NY 14036. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday the 2nd at 10:00 AM at the same location. Charles will be laid to rest in Indian Falls Cemetery.
