KNIERIM, Pauline June Knierim
With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Pauline June Knierim, who slipped away in her sleep on March 6, 2026, in her 86th year.

Born and raised in Kitchener, Pauline carried her roots with her throughout her life. She was married to her beloved husband, Justus Knierim, affectionately referred to as the Boss, for 57 years (May 31, 1969)-a partnership marked by devotion, humour, and unwavering love.

Pauline is survived by Justus, her two loving sisters Patty Wilkes and Dianne Snider, her cherished sons Paul (Theresa) and Peter (Rebecca), and her adored grandchildren; Mark, Wesley, Owen, Lily, Alexa, Adley, Frances. She is predeceased by her caring parents Clare Albert Snider and Alma Meta (nee Searth) Snider.

A woman with a warm heart-though, as the family lovingly remembers, not always a warm body-Pauline found joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed a good walk, supporting others through volunteer work and treasured any opportunity to gather with family, and took immense pride in the people she loved most.

Before dedicating her life to raising her family, Pauline served as a public health nurse, a role that showcased her compassion and commitment to others. Pauline and Justus spent many meaningful years raising their boys in the beauty of the Beaver Valley before returning to Kitchener to enjoy their quieter chapter together.

Fondly remembered as a loving wife, caring mother, devoted sister and exceptional cook, Pauline leaves behind a legacy of warmth, care, and family devotion that will be forever treasured.

Pauline’s family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 PM followed by a reception. Interment at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener, immediately following the reception. Rev. Kevin Steeper officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Working Center would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made at the funeral home or online directly through the charity’s website. Please call the funeral home 519-749-8467 to inform the family of your online donation.
