KNIGHT, Margaret Knight

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Knight (Nee Brown) at the age of 96.

Margaret is now at peace and reunited with her husband of 71 years Robert (2024) and her children Bryan (1975), Lynn (2005) (Ron Mullins) and Scot (2016) (Renea Knight).

 Survived by her daughter Catherine (Charles Gravelle) and her grandchildren, Bryan, Trevor, Tyler, Cameron, Kyle, Lauren, Ethan, Matthew and Abigail. She will also be lovingly remembered by her family in Scotland and New Zealand.

Born in Greenock Scotland, Margaret relocated with her husband to Canada in 1953.  A longtime dedicated employee of the Bank of Nova Scotia on Ottawa St., she was a friendly face to many.  Affectionately known as Maggie or Mudge, she loved shopping for a good bargain, a fish supper wrapped in newspaper, a good book, a hot cuppa and a long blether. She will be fondly remembered as a strong and resilient matriarch, a proud granny, wonderful friend and a very fashionable lady.

Heartfelt appreciation to Huron Lodge Long Term Care Home for their exceptional care. A special thank you to the staff on the Willow unit.  Your dedication and kindness did not go unnoticed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association (WETRA.ca). A private family service is being held.
