KORPI, Roy Korpi

Passed peacefully on October 2, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 85. Devoted and beloved husband to Diane for 58 years. Much loved Dad to Amanda Korpi and Alison (Rick) Kennedy. Cherished Grandpa to Connor and Ava. Dear brother to Sylvia (Martin) Kainola, Susan (Brad) Anderson, the late Bob (Claire) Korpi and the late Shirley Wilson. Pre-deceased by loving parents Aura Wilson and Emil Korpi.

Roy loved many things in life, but most importantly his family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, travelling, hunting, fishing, golfing, and most especially, spending time at the cottage and in Northern Ontario. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and close friends including those who have been part of the “Darty Dozen” over the years, his White Pine Hunt Camp buddies and those he met along the way during his career in the automotive industry, especially his long standing partner Gerry Land.

Roy was an incredibly dedicated, supportive and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by Diane, Amanda, Alison (Rick), Connor and Ava.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation in Roy’s name would be appreciated.

A private family service will be held at Newcastle Funeral Home.
