KOZIOL, Adas Koziol
April 29, 1976 - March 9, 2026
It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Adas Koziol announces his sudden passing at Bluewater Health on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the age of 49. Adas leaves behind his beloved wife of 25 years Andrea, their treasured children Anna, Anderson and Allie, and dog Daisy. Cherished son of Janina and the late Eugene Koziol, son-in-law of Bonnie and the late Jim Whitson. Loving brother of Andy Koziol (Sharon) and Stenia Laberis (Stefos), brother-in-law of Corey Whitson (Janice). Dear uncle of Lauren, Kosta, Natasha, Paul and Julie, and godfather of Janine, Sonia and Edward. Godson of Chester Banka and Stefania Wojtowicz. Adas will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers. Adas was a member of the Local 1256 Carpenter’s Union for over 20 years. He was a talented carpenter and handyman, and lovingly built his own home for his family. He was an avid Toronto sports fan, especially during the Blue Jays season. Adas was devoted to his family. He met the love of his life, Andrea, when they were only 18 years old, marrying in 2001. He was not only incredibly proud of his children in their chosen athletic and career endeavours, but in the people they are growing into. Adas’ family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, and the nursing and support staff at Bluewater Health – I.C.U. for their care and guidance over the last several days. They would also like to thank Sarnia Emergency Services for giving them that extra time with Adas. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with prayers being offered at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 566 Rosedale Ave., Sarnia, on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to SickKids, Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please). Adas’ family made the selfless decision to donate his organs, and they encourage everyone to have that difficult discussion and make a difference in the lives of others.
