KUBUSHESKIE, Bailey Susan Kubusheskie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Bailey “B” Kubusheskie, on September 18, 2025 at the Queensway Carleton Hospital surrounded by her family.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her parents, Melissa Brotton (Aurel) and Randy Kubusheskie (Juline), siblings Austin, Shae-Lynn, Payton and Brock and Grandparents Gilbert & Marilyn Brotton and Leonard & Vivian Kubusheskie as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Bailey filled our lives with love from the moment she came into the world, her good humour and generous spirit touched everyone she met. Bailey never let life’s challenges hold her back. Bailey was extremely passionate when it came to her love of animals. She loved and cared for animals of all kinds, especially her treasured horse Misty.

Bailey lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things life had to offer. Being outdoors and just casting a line off the dock where she would sit for hours. She became quite an avid fisherman and even enjoyed the odd hunting excursion.

For anyone who knew Bailey knew she had a strong will, some may even say a stubbornness about her, and when her health was declining she used that strong will and she defied the odds on more than a few occasions. She always had a way of making sure she could do things on her own terms, so no matter how many tears we shed or prayers we prayed to keep her here with us, I guess she had a different plan and now she is safe in the arms of Jesus.

There will be no visitation. A private Liturgy of the Word was held at Heubner Funeral Home in Barry’s Bay for close friends and family on Friday, September 26th. Bailey’s family wish for donations to be made to Queensway Carleton Hospital ICU Unit in Ottawa.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Queensway Carleton Hospital who so lovingly cared for Bailey. The kindness and attentiveness shown by the nurses, doctors and support staff were truly remarkable. We were comforted knowing that Bailey was in such caring and capable hands.
