KUKUCKA, Andrew Kukucka
March 16, 1942 - November 7, 2025
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew (Andy) Kukučka, Age 83, on November 7, 2025 at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus surrounded by his family. He is now resting, waiting for Jesus to come.
He was born on March 16, 1942 in Glozan, Serbia to parents Miško and Elisabeth.
Andrew was a man of kindness, strength, and integrity who worked hard to provide for his family, both blood relative and the many others he adopted into his family and called him “Dad”, “Papa”, and “Grandpa”
Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Susan. He was a loving father to his children, Anne Kukučka of Windsor, and Helen and Mark Knecht, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a proud Grandfather to Mark Knecht, III and Jack Knecht. Beloved brother to Michael Kukučka and John and Maria Kukučka in Serbia. He was a cherished uncle to Marija Kiralj, Ana Cevari, Janko and Vesna Kukučka. Dear brother-in-law of the late Jan and Ana Korčok of Serbia, and Maria and the late Steven Balaz of Australia. Cherished uncle of Jerry and Supapparaporn Korčok of LaSalle, Marka Korčok of Serbia, Walter and Tracey Balaz of Australia, and Jane and Peter Stewart of Australia. Adored Great-Uncle to Celina, Eloise, and Mia.
He worked for Ford Motor Company and retired after 30 years of service. He was passionate about gardening, fishing, and cheering on his Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and Windsor Spitfires. He faithfully served the Windsor Seventh-Day Adventist Church as a deacon for many years. He loved sharing his love for gardening and his faith with everyone he came in contact with.
In addition to his immediate family, he will be deeply missed by the many friends and extended family who know him for his faith, positive attitude, quite strength, and loving spirit.
Special thanks go out to the Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus Doctors, Nurses, and Therapists in the ICU, 4th Floor West, and 4th Floor North who took care him during his time there.
The visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, Windsor, Ontario) on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Windsor Seventh-Day Adventist Church (5350 Haig Ave, Windsor, Ontario) on November 13, 2025 with visitation starting at 10:00am, and funeral service starting at 11:00am, Pastors Alex Golovenko and Edwin Darius officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
