KULESZA, Richard Kulesza

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Kulesza at the age of 69. Richard passed away at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 40 years, Maria, and his children Julia and Steven (Lena). Richard was beloved by many and will be remembered fondly for his active volunteerism in the Windsor Polish community. Following his retirement as an automotive assembly operator, he found pleasure in travelling, hiking with his children, riding his bicycle, and dancing along to his favourite Disco Polo hits. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his unlimited energy and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. The family is deeply appreciative of all the physicians, nurses, and personal support workers who contributed to Richard’s care, especially Dr. Lawrence Aoun and Dr. Sheri Bergeron. Visitation at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (1700 Tecumseh Rd E) on Thursday January 29th, 2026 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm and 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Parish prayers at 8:00pm. Family and friends are also invited to gather directly for a Funeral Mass on Friday January 30th, 2026 at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church (1035 Ellis St E). Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave). Donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or the Hospice of Windsor-Essex County.
