KURTA, Julie KURTA

The Kurta/Freedman family are profoundly saddened with the loss of our beloved Julie. Even in her difficult times, these past few years, she maintained her quick mind and even quicker wit.
She was predeceased by her parents Stuart and Renalee Freedman.

She is survived by her devoted husband Bruce, her son Jamie and daughter Jessi (Josh) as well as her step daughters Robyn (Jered) and Taylor (Daniel). She also leaves her brothers Scot (Sandi) and Gary (Diane) and nieces and nephews Carrie (Mark) and Aaron (Shoshana). She felt blessed having five wonderful grandchildren, Ellie, Lyla, Bea, Jack and Andi and her four great nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Brodie, Matthew and Ariana. She loved family. Cherished the time with them and sad when there wasn’t the opportunity.
Julie loved being around people. The more the better. She always enjoyed her careers, whether renting out Giant stadium for a client’s event or Walt Disney World for another. She was really happy being a Welcome Ambassador for the Blue Mountain Resort where she could speak to guests and help them enjoy their stay. When Bruce joined the company she would say to people, « I taught him everything he knowsΒ Β». She was right.
Having to leave Blue because of illness devastated her but her neighbours became her new family and a great source of comfort and enjoyment. Summer was the best for her. Walking around the block with them, talking to anyone who would stop the car so they could ramble on until another car came by and especially the group of non-Jewish yentes who spent hours in the pool; talking but rarely swimming.
There is a hole in our family. One that can’t be refilled.
