KYER , Ruby Victoria Major-Andrews Kyer

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Ruby Victoria Major Andrews. Born September 5, 1928, she died peacefully at Southbridge Cornwall, on August 2, 2025. Predeceased by her loving husbands Vince Major and Skip Andrews.

Ruby had a good life, filled with lots of fun and laughter. She was blessed with seven beautiful children, five boys and two girls: Elwyn Major, Glendon Major, Brian Major (Jenny), Carl Major (Lyse), late Kathy Doré (Jean Louis Cote), Wendy Lefebvre (Rejean), and Christopher Major (Karen) as well as her four wonderful step-children: late Don Andrews, Lee Andrews, Mike Andrews and Jane Luczliew. Proud grandmother of 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Kay Amell (late Frank) and Kyerson Kyer (Darleen). Predeceased by her parents Albert & Annie Kyer (nee Jarvo). Ruby will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ruby thanks God for giving her an excellent sense of humor, warm smile, cheerful and mischievous nature and contagious love for life. Ruby was grateful to have so many great friends who made her trip through life so happy. She will be missed and fondly remembered by those who loved her dearly. She was also very grateful to the wonderful staff and medical team who cared for her in her final years.

Ruby wanted to say goodbye to her special friends and her family who she loved deeply, “God bless you all!”

A mass of Christian burial with commendation will take place Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11 am at Precious Blood Church, Glen Walter followed by a reception in the church hall. Memorial donations can be made to the Children Treatment Center Cornwall. Online condolences can be left at Wilson Funeral Home.
