LACHINE, Yvonne Lachine

Sadly, we announce the passing of Yvonne Lachine on Friday, July 10, 2026, peacefully at home at the age of 88.

Born in Camden Township, daughter of the late Earl and Ileene (Ellis) Brown.

Beloved wife of the late Stewart Lachine (2016) for 58 years.

Loving mother of the late Brad Lachine (2019), Debby Overton (Rod) and Ryan Lachine (Amanda).

Proud grandmother of Alyssa, Kiersten and Connor Overton.

Predeceased by three sisters Helen Andrews (late John), Hazel Bebington (late Charles), Eunice O’Neill (late Jim) and infant brother Harold Brown.

Yvonne graduated from the London Teacher’s College in 1956 and taught in a one room school house until 1961.

She then taught private music lessons in her home for 46 years. She received her 50 year life membership in the Ontario Registered Music Teacher’s Association.

In keeping with Mom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. There will be a private family graveside service in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

If desired, donations in memory of Yvonne may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.
