LAFLECHE, Dianne Lafleche

Dianne Leah Lafleche, beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home at 60 years old after a short but courageous battle with COPD in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, dedication to family, and empathy that will be carried on by her children.

Born on October 1st, 1964 to Mervin and Alice Rivett in Kirkland Lake, she later met the love of her life, Danny, with whom she had three beautiful children. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Daniel, and children Casey (Peter) – Ottawa, Brody – Sesekinika, and Jesse (Shane) – Sudbury. She was the loving grandmother of August, Atticus, and Poppy, and a devoted pet grandparent to Jerome, Duchess, Tika, and Lola.

Dianne also leaves behind nieces Kristin and Tiffany (Darryl), great niece and nephew Khloe and Jeremy, and her beloved Aunt Cindy. She is predeceased by her parents Mervin (2008) and Alice (2012), and her brothers Mervin Leslie (1970) and Henry (2022).

A graduate of the Personal Support Worker program at Northern College, Dianne dedicated nearly 31 years to Teck Pioneer Residence. She began her career as a PSW and later transitioned to a Dietary Aide in the kitchen in 2003. Her strong work ethic and care for others left a lasting impact.

Known for her passion for thrifting, her infectious storytelling, and her deep love for her Pomeranians (Blue, Poopsi, Licorice, Gracie, Finnagen, and Zoey), Dianne’s joy was felt most during family camping trips at Log-Graves and Raven Beach in Larder Lake.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held with immediate family at a later date.

In honour of her love for animals, donations may be made to the Advocates for Northern Animals: www.anapetrescue.com/donate.
