LANGFORD, James Langford
May 15, 1936 - November 29, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Arnold Langford on November 29, 2025, at the age of 89. James (Jim) was born on May 5,1936 in South Heath near Great Missenden, in Buckinghamshire, U.K. He immigrated to Canada and started a career with CN Rail and retired after 35 years of service.
Jim’s life was greatly enriched by the relationships he had with his family, who are deeply saddened by his passing. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann Marie Langford, whose memory continued to bring him joy throughout his life. He is survived by his children, Robert (Alayne) Langford, Sandra (Frank) Fabbro, James (Jimmy) Langford, and his step-children, LeeAnn Garrett and Tom Garrett.
Jim’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. He leaves behind Sara (Brent) Wakefield, Nicholas (Ashley) Langford, Stephanie Langford, Jennifer (Patrick) Valoppi, Shannon (Andrew) Taylor, Mackenzie (Tre) Gayle, Sara (Ian) Miron, Jason Fabbro and the late Ian Fabbro, along with his many great-grandchildren.
Lastly, Jim’s loss will be deeply felt by his sister, June Hounslow and extended family from across the pond. Jim and his sister June made a point of talking with one another daily in his later years.
Jim lived a fulfilling life full of joy, love, and cherished memories, which included being an avid gardener, fishing and boating, playing guitar, and making beer!
Jim was a pillar of strength and support for his family, and his loss leaves a void that can never be filled. His legacy, however, will continue to live on through his loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.
