LAPISH, Edward Roy Lapish

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the age of 85.
Roy was the devoted husband of Anna (nee Johnston), with whom he shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Much-loved father of Ed (Kaylee), Tina (Jamie), and Thomas (Christian). Proud grandfather of Hunter (Chloe), Josh, Dakota (Paxton), Seth (Makayla), Teagan, Austin, Kayden, Jackson, and Addison.

Beloved son of the late Thomas and the late Christine Lapish. Brother of the late Harry (Verna), and Jim (Shirley). Roy also leaves behind his many cherished nieces and nephews.
Roy found great joy in building homes alongside his family and friends, especially with his grandson Seth. He was a gifted storyteller, a joyful singer and dancer, and someone who never missed a chance to share a good joke. He also had a fond appreciation for fine wine and sweet treats.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:00 noon with Rev. Helen Smith officiating. Spring interment at Laird Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice are greatly appreciated by the family.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare teams on 3A and 3C at the Sault Area Hospital for their compassion, dedication, and exceptional care. A special thank you to Dr. Sharp for ensuring Roy’s comfort and dignity, and to the care partners who supported Roy so thoughtfully over the years.
Roy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
